Non-Profit & Volunteer Work
BoxGirls South Africa
In 2017, I was afforded with one of the most incredible opportunities I’ve had to date.
I traveled to Capetown, South Africa and was an intern for a non-profit organization called BoxGirls South Africa, an organization that provides young girls in South Africa with crucial life skills such as self defense, after school tutoring, and health and wellness education.
During my time here, I led training exercises for the staff on Microsoft word, powerpoint and excel, and in turn made internal operations run more efficiently. I also built a strategic social media campaign that was launched across all social platforms that successfully increased traffic to the website and helped the company reach their donation goal.
Lastly, I was part of the team that helped build, design and launch BoxGirls first Airbnb Experience that in turn increased traffic and brand awareness of the non-profit.
Overall, this was a very exciting and educational experience that sparked my passion for social impact and non-profit advocacy.
Rocky Clark Clothing
One of my favorite volunteer experiences, was with my friends startup sustainable fashion company, Rocky Clark Clothing.
I took the role of brand awareness influencer. My friend would send me some of his new product to use, photograph and publish on my socials.
In addition, I was in charge of the influencer program and would reach out to podcasts, blogs, and fashion influencers to spread the word about Rocky Clark and work to get the founder affiliate partner programs.
This was a great way for me to help my friend launch his new business, while also gain experience in the influencer and marketing space.
